I’m Stephanie Wyatt, co-founder of Baron Insurance, and I’ve spent over a decade helping New Zealanders protect what matters most through clear, practical insurance advice.

Insurance can feel overwhelming, full of jargon, fine print, and uncertainty which is exactly why I do things differently. I work closely with my clients to understand their assets, their risks, and what they’ve worked hard to build, so the cover we put in place actually does what it’s meant to do when it matters.

I hold the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5 – General Insurance) and have built my career across senior commercial broking and leadership roles within the New Zealand’s insurance industry. That experience has given me a strong understanding of risk across a wide range of businesses, industries, situations and how to structure cover that truly protects them.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive industry recognition, including being named Rising Star Broker of the Year at the 2019 Women in Insurance Awards, receiving the Young Gun Award in 2020, and being recognised as both a Rising Star and Elite Woman of Insurance by Insurance Business NZ in 2022. While these awards are an honour, the real measure of my work is the long-term trust I build with my clients.

I’m Nathan Barker, the co-founder of Baron Insurance specialising in fire and general insurance, with a strong focus on protecting New Zealand businesses through tailored, practical insurance solutions.

I began my insurance career in 2019 and quickly built a reputation for being proactive, detail-driven, and client-focused. I take pride in helping business owners understand their risks and ensuring their insurance cover is structured correctly - not just to meet the expectations of the insurers requirements, but to genuinely protect their livelihood when it matters most.

My approach is straightforward: I cut through complexity and provide clear, honest advice. Insurance can be confusing and often overlooked until there’s a claim, so I place a strong emphasis on education, transparency, and getting things right from the outset. I work closely with my clients to understand their operations, exposures, and growth plans, allowing me to design insurance programmes that evolve alongside their business.

I specialise in fire and general insurance across a broad range of commercial risks and industries, and I actively advocate for my clients throughout policy placement, renewals, and claims. Long-term relationships are at the core of my business. I value responsiveness, accountability, and always acting in my clients’ best interests.

In the last 7 years in the industry I have been awarded some of the highest regarded awards in NZ and Australia, Young Gun of the Year (#1 Broker under the age of 35 in New Zealand) and Rising Star Award in 2022. More recently I had the honour of being named in the Elite Brokers 2025 list. This list recognised the Top 30 Highest performing brokers in New Zealand and Australia.
